A new start.

Hello there!

If you're reading this, probably you already know my work, and you know that I recently decided to change my way of using social media to showcase my art.

Five years ago my partner and I took a trip to India and Nepal, and we didn't bring our cameras, laptops nor our smartphones. For seven months I spent a couple of hours a week writing a blog so that my family and friends knew what I was up to and, most importantly, that I was still alive. That’s why I called my blog “Sigo Viva,” which means “I’m still alive” in Spanish. I truly enjoyed sharing my life in this way, because I was more thoughtful about what I shared, and my mind didn't get influenced by what was happening on social media either. My connections to people and to myself were deeper and more meaningful. It was life changing.

Now I live off-grid in Upper Peninsula, Michigan, and my time online is quite limited. I don't want to waste more of my efforts in trying to “be seen” by people on IG, but I rather prefer to give all my heart to sharing what I’m doing with those who really want to appreciate it.

I want to show my art process, my unseen works, the commissions I’m working on.

I want to share my new songs in their rawest state.

I want to tell you what's on my mind, what I’m dealing with, what makes me cry and what keeps me going.

“Reynard the House-Wolf” - the epic graphic novel that my partner and I are working on - it's close to being finished. I want you to see so many things that I haven't been able or wanted to share on social media!

This is my space, and I’m very glad you' made it here.

Sincerely,

Sol

Shanti making sure that I get distracted from my work on Reynard's book.
